A.W. Mellon and Helen C. White Workshops

The Center for the Humanities, with major support from the A.W. Mellon Foundation and the Helen C. White Fund, annually sponsors interdisciplinary workshops in the humanities. Many of the range of activities and programs presented by each workshop are open to UW-Madison faculty, staff, and students. Some events are open to the general public.

Now in their ninth year, the Center's A.W. Mellon Foundation/Helen C. White Workshops are study/discussion groups centered on a broadly conceived theme, and are designed and led by members of the UW-Madison faculty and/or academic staff. Workshops are provided with a great deal of freedom to define the nature of their activities.
