The Brothers Karamazov

The Brothers Karamazov in Wisconsin will build on the success of the previous Great Texts in Wisconsin Programs, which included One Hundred Years of Solitude, Don Quixote, and Dante's Inferno. During the 2008-2009 academic year, high school and college classes from across the state will participate in reading The Brothers Karamazov, by Fyodor Dostoevsky.

1st Teacher Workshop: October 6th, 2008 - Memorial Library 126, UW-Madison Campus

2nd Teacher Workshop: February 9th, 2009 - Memorial Library 126, UW-Madison Campus

Student Conference: April 1st, 2009 - Pyle Center, UW-Madison campus. Featuring Keynote Lecture entitled "The Brothers Karamazov: Memory and Laughter" by award-winning translators Richard Pevear and Larissa Volokhonsky.
